About the Scope team
- Meet ChrisDirectorChris Wheatley, Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand (FCA)
Chris Wheatley is the founding partner of Scope Accounting. He holds a Bachelor of Business majoring in professional accounting and gained Chartered Accountant qualifications in 2011. He has recently been recognised for his outstanding achievements and contribution to the profession by being awarded a Fellowship of Chartered Accountants, an accomplishment which is typically reserved for senior members who have held over 15 years of membership.
Chris is passionate about helping clients enjoy and understand their financial journey. His approach is to ‘dumb down’ the complicated and make the experience easy to follow. Chris has a wealth of knowledge in all areas of tax, business services and accounting, with a strong skill set in property and SMSF’s. He is highly regarded among many of his peers in the industry and has a strong network that he collaborates with when needed.
He is the treasurer of the Australian Specialty Coffee Association (ASCA). This is a position that he volunteers his time to, all for the love of all things coffee. When not working, he is busy with his family and supporting the mighty Brisbane Lions.
Meet WallyDirectorWally Djachenko, Fellow of the Institute of Public AccountantsWally Djachenko is an experienced accountant with 35 years' experience in the business. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree, a Diploma of Financial Services and is a fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants. Wally is also a registered tax agent and a qualified SMSF adviser.
His experience spans credit analysis, corporate banking, business analysis, systems analysis, software development, and business structuring and operations, and financial advice. Wally's clients come from diverse industries, including building and property development. Wally has held several managerial and executive positions including managing director in a listed public company whose primary business was debt recovery, and debt purchase and securitisation.
He is also currently a director for Wholesale Funds Management Pty Ltd, a licensed financial services company.
As you can tell, Wally is not your regular accountant, and he can apply that background knowledge and experience for the benefit of our clients.
Meet LeishaBusiness ManagerLeisha WheatleyLeisha has been part of Scope since the very beginning. She comes from a background in customer service and banking and finance. Her primary role is to oversee and maintain the daily operations of the business, as well as lead the administration team.
Meet PhiAccountantPhi Do, CPAPhi Do is an accomplished accountant with eight years in the industry. He holds a Master's degree in Professional Accounting from QUT. Phi is near completion of his Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) qualification.
Phi's area of expertise includes cashflow, tax structure and providing financial advice.
Meet KerrinaAccountantKerrina Woods, CPAKerrina is a seasoned accountant with CPA qualifications. She has over six years in the accounting industry and specialises in Tax accounting.
Meet RebeccaAccountantRebecca Haynes, Qualified AccountantRebecca has a Bachelor of Business in Accounting from QUT. She began her accounting career right here at Scope and she has become a very knowledgeable and competent accountant under the guidance of Chris Wheatley. When she isn’t kicking tax goals for our clients, she is busy shooting hoops for the Queensland Australian Basketball League.
Who we work withMeet TeresaBookkeeperTeresa Jackson, BookkeeperAfter working freelance as a bookkeeper for several of our clients, we were finally able to convince Teresa to come aboard and work for Scope directly! Teresa brings her wealth of knowledge, attention to detail and excellent client communication skills to the team, and this has given us the capacity to expand our level of service to all clients.
Meet SharonAdministration teamSharon ClarkSharon has been part of the Scope administration team since 2014. She wears many of the non-accounting hats as her experience and knowledge span across many of our administrative functions. Sharon ensures that all our clients' deadlines and obligations are adhered to.
Meet RionaAdministration TeamRiona RobinsonRiona manages the Self–Managed Super Fund administration and is the head of all office policies and procedures. She is currently completing a Commerce degree majoring in accounting.
Meet JacquiAdministration TeamJacqui StoneJacqui is our wonderful Receptionist and also looks after general administration. She is the first point of contact you will likely have with Scope Accounting, so don't forget to say hello!
